breathing control ...
breathing control helps,,,try counting on the inhale such as 1 thousand 1, one thousand 2, one thousand 3, exhale to a count of four..focus on counting this will help with clearing your mind. you want to keep outside thoughts out. you must practice couple of times a day at least when you are not having anxiety.

Sorry for the ...
Sorry for the double reply but there were some typos in my original post:

I have tried breathing exercises for panic/anxiety attacks and they do diddly squit for me.

Plus they are incredibly boring and cause me to focus more on my symptoms than if i were to go do some cross stitching, for example. At least with the cross stitching i get so absorbed in what im doing that i tend to forget about the panic attack and any odd symptoms im getting.

Cross stitching is incredibly relaxing.

Plus they incredibly boring and cause me to focus more on my symptoms than if i were to say go do some cross stitching. At least with the cross stitching i get so absorbed in what im doing that i literally forget about the panic attack and the symptoms im getting.
